Miscellaneous projects and experiments

As any designer, I have a bunch of wierd and/or unfinished projects. I have bundled them together here for anyone who might be interested.

SCRIPTING IN INDESIGN
During my stay at Die Angewandte in Vienna,
I explored scripting in InDesign.

The New Art Of Making Books is an essay by Ulises Carrión calling for the presence of the bookmaker in the medium.

Being tasked with presenting the essay in a context conveying its message, I worked with scripting in inDesign to highlight the digital aspect of bookmaking today.

POSTERS
As part of my diploma project on screen-time, I wanted to test out the style that is dominating Instagram.

Here are some of the results.

EXPERIMENTAL TYPE
Procedural Specimen is a project combining digital processing and sand-casting to create a physical type specimen.

Handgloves –> Photoshop -> Illustrator(3D)  –> Blender –> SLS Print –> Aluminum casting

CMYK PRINTS
During my studies at Die Angewandte in Vienna, I took a course called Experimentelle Druckgrafik und Kombinationstechniken

This is my brother putting water and ink on a print of himself that I later would make a print of.

ABSTRACT WEATHER
As part of my design studies, we had a week of learning P5. Me and my friend Bendik decided to make an API that visualizes weather trough ambient sounds.

FACE TRACKING
I had a brief encounter with face tracking in Pure Data while in Vienna. This is me tracking the position of my mouth.

VARIABLE TYPE
I have been fascinated with varibale typography for a while and wanted to see if I could make my own variable font.

This is the first draft of a bitfont with a really tall ascender.

RUTER ZINE
For our school-project with Ruter, we were tasked with making a zine.

This is my experience travelling to Frognerseteren to get some peace and quiet.

BIKE PARADE
For our introduction to IX at AHO, we were tasked with making a micro-mobility parade.

Me and my friends made a frankenstein bike with a shopping-cart, a kids bike and some speakers.

The end result was... interesting.
